This explains what candidcreators.com collects and why. Questions or requests: hello@candidcreators.com. Candid Creators is run by Gokul IT Research Center, Pokhara, Nepal.

What we collect

Your email address, to sign you in and send the emails below.
Your name and roles (hiring, making videos), and whether you accepted these terms.
Creators: handle, bio, country, languages, niches, rate, reels and their thumbnails, and each reel's views and shortlists.
Businesses: business name, website and country.
What you do on the platform: your swipes and picks (they also rank reels for everyone), messages, briefs and pitches.
Technical logs that our hosting providers keep, such as IP address and browser, to run and secure the service.

We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and we don't sell your data.

What's public

A live creator's profile and portfolio reels, including name, handle, country, languages, niches and rate.
Open briefs, with the business's name, website and country.

Pitch reels are seen only by the business you pitched to. Messages are seen only by the two people in the conversation. Picks and swipes are private.

In your browser

Sign-in cookies, to keep you signed in.
If you swipe without an account: your picks and a random device number, kept in your browser so your picks survive until you sign in. The device number lets your swipes count toward ranking without knowing who you are.

Emails we send

Sign-in codes and links, when you ask for them.
Unread messages and new pitches (at most hourly), outcomes of briefs you pitched to, and a daily list of new briefs that match you. You can turn these off in your account settings.

Who processes it for us

Supabase: database and sign-in.
Cloudflare: hosting, video storage and delivery, and our domain's email routing.
Resend: sending email.
Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.

These providers may store data outside your country.

How long we keep it, and deleting it

We keep your data while you have an account. Deleting your account (in your account settings) removes your profile, reels and their video files, picks, briefs, pitches and conversations, including your messages in other people's inboxes. Copies can remain for a short time in our providers' backups and caches.

Your rights

You can see and correct most of your data in the app, and delete it all in your settings. To get a copy of your data, or for anything else about your privacy, email us and we'll reply within 30 days. Candid Creators is for people aged 18 and over.

Changes

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and its date, and tell you if it matters.
